In the 3rd T20I, India beat Sri Lanka Cricket Team in the Super Over

Image
On Tuesday at Pallekele, in the inconsequential third and final T20I, India defeated Sri Lanka via the Super Over to sweep the series 3–0. Kusal Perera (46, 34b) and Kusal Mendis (43, 41b) helped team Sri Lanka chase down the target of 138 before their innings fell apart in the familiar fashion at the business end.  SL ended up at 137 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after stipulated 20 overs, taking the match to Super Over. For India, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Rinku Singh, and captain Suryakumar Yadav took two wickets apiece. India needed just three runs to win the Super Over. Earlier, the Lankan bowlers produced a tidy effort to restrict India to a modest 137/9. Spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana led their team bowling, sharing five wickets between them, as only Shubman Gill showed some spink with a 39 in the company of Riyan Parag (26). Brief scores: India 137/9 in 20 overs (Shubman Gill 39; Maheesh Theekshana 3/28, Wanindu Hasaranga 2/29) beat Sri Lanka 137/8 in

BCCI Has the "Only Condition" That CSK Sets for MS Dhoni to Continue Playing

Image
There have been several months passed since the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League concluded, but still there is no confirmation about the future of Mahendra Singh Dhoni with the Chennai Super Kings. Ahead of the start of the season 2024, he stepped down as the captain of the franchise this year, paving the way for Ruturaj Gaikwad to lead the team. Though CSK didn’t qualify for the playoffs, there were plenty of positives to take from the leadership of Ruturaj. But does that mean it’s all over for Dhoni as a player because, according to the reports, the Thala’s continuity in the league solely depends on the retention decision the IPL management and the BCCI take. There isn’t much clarity around the number of players the BCCI will allow the franchises to retain with a mega auction scheduled to be held before the start of the IPL 2025 season. According to a report, the continuity of Dhoni in the league as a player is only possible if the BCCI allows the retention of 5 to 6 pla

The Indian board declined to comment on the matter, stating that the administration of the nation will determine whether or not to visit Pakistan. Harbhajan spoke on Thursday, asking why the Indian squad ought to visit Pakistan. There is a safety concern in Pakistan. In Pakistan, things are so bad that accidents happen practically daily. I don’t think it’s safe (for the team) to go there. The safety of our players is the most crucial thing, and the BCCI is entirely correct in their position. I support BCCI’s stand.” However, the Pakistani cricket board has ens

The Pakistan Cricket Board had proposed for India to play all its matches in one city. It had been reported earlier that Lahore was chosen as the location where India would play all of their matches. However, the Indian board is not interested in the prospect of traveling to Pakistan.
