The BCCI may not approve Lahore as the venue for the India-Pakistan match at the Champions Trophy 2025

According to the statement of the BCCI, the Indian cricket team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and the International Cricket Council will hold its matches in Sri Lanka or Dubai. The ICC Champions Trophy is going to be held next year, in the month of March 2025, in Pakistan. Since the 2008 Asia Cup, India has not played any cricket tournaments in Pakistan because of the 10th relationship between both nations. A bilateral series from December 2012 to January 2013 in India also marked the final bilateral series between the two nations.

Uncertainty has been looming over the participation of Team India in the upcoming event because of the relationship between the two nations.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had proposed for India to play all its matches in one city. It had been reported earlier that Lahore was chosen as the location where India would play all of their matches. However, the Indian board is not interested in the prospect of traveling to Pakistan.
