Following Mumbai's World Cup victory celebrations Virat Kohli departs for the UK.
On Thursday, July 6, the star batsman of team Virat Kohli left for London late at night in Mumbai after attending team India’s T20 World Cup victory celebrations. Notably, the Indian Cricket Team took a chartered airplane back from Barbados after spending three days stranded there as a result of Hurricane Beryl.
After a long
delay, the Men in Blue finally landed in Delhi and were given a rousing
welcome. PM Narendra Modi hosted them for a special breakfast meet as he got
involved in light-hearted conversations with all the team members.
The team
then made the trip to Mumbai for a unique road performance, where they posed
for thousands of adoring fans to get a close-up look at their idols while
holding the trophy.
Despite
enduring a tiring day being involved in the celebrations, Kohli reportedly took
the flight to London to be with his family. His wife, Anushka Sharma, is
reportedly in the UK, along with their two children, Vamika and Akaay. For the
iconic India vs. Pakistan game of the T20 World Cup, Anushka was spotted at the
Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York but was never seen
again attending matches in the tournament.
