Deeya Yadav, Mamatha Madiwala to Miss Remainder of WPL 2026

In a significant setback for their franchise, Deeya Yadav and Mamatha Madiwala have been ruled out of the remainder of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026. The team management confirmed the development ahead of the crucial final phase of the tournament.

Deeya Yadav, who had shown flashes of brilliance with both bat and ball this season, will miss the remaining matches due to injury concerns. Her absence is expected to impact the team’s balance, especially in the middle overs where she played a key role.

Mamatha Madiwala has also been sidelined for the rest of the WPL 2026 following fitness issues. Known for her disciplined bowling and ability to build pressure, Mamatha’s unavailability comes as a blow at a time when every match carries playoff implications.

The franchise is yet to announce replacement players, but management has expressed confidence in the existing squad to step up and fill the void. As the WPL 2026 enters its decisive stage, all eyes will be on how the team adapts without two of its important players.
