Big Prediction of Ex Indian Cricketer for KKR in IPL 2025

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has emphasized that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) should prioritize retaining their captain, ShreyasIyer, ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. Chopra believes that Iyer’s leadership and batting prowess are crucial for KKR’s success in the upcoming season. He noted that Iyer has shown significant improvement and consistency, making him an invaluable asset to the team.

Aakash Chopra said, “You want to firstly retain the captain, who is ShreyasIyer. If 18 crores go, let them go because you won’t get a captain. He is your winning captain. If Gautam (Gambhir) isn’t there, retain your captain to maintain some continuity. There is no doubt that you should retain ShreyasIyer.”


“You might get ShreyasIyer for 18 crores using the RTM but never do that with the captain because eventually this game is played by humans, and humans have hearts, and thereby emotions. Who will understand emotions better than Khan sahab (Shahrukh Khan)? So I feel he won’t allow ShreyasIyer to go,” the former India opener added.

With KKR aiming to rebuild and strengthen their squad, retaining a player of Iyer’scaliber would provide stability and direction. Chopra’s insights come as teams prepare for strategic decisions in the lead-up to the auction, highlighting Iyer’s potential impact on KKR’s future performance.
