Jeet Raval Announces Retirement from Professional Cricket
New Zealand-born Indian-origin cricketer Jeet Raval has announced his retirement from professional cricket, bringing an end to a career that saw him represent New Zealand at the international level and establish himself as a dependable top-order batter in domestic cricket.
Raval was known for his patient batting style and ability to handle challenging conditions, particularly in the longer format of the game. He represented New Zealand in Test cricket and also enjoyed a successful domestic career, including his contributions to New Zealand’s first-class cricket circuit.
During his international career, Raval featured in 24 Test matches for New Zealand, scoring 1,334 runs, including four centuries. His performances at the top of the order made him a notable figure in New Zealand’s Test setup.
Raval also enjoyed significant success in domestic cricket, scoring more than 10,000 first-class runs and captaining Northern Districts to the Plunket Shield title in the 2024–25 season.
