England Complete Dominant 3-0 Sweep with Convincing Win in Final Women's ODI
England Women wrapped up their ODI series against Ireland in emphatic fashion, securing a comprehensive 114-run victory in the third and final ODI at Worcester to complete a 3-0 clean sweep. Sophia Dunkley starred with a magnificent 119, anchoring England's innings as the hosts posted 291 before being bowled out in 48.5 overs.
After being put in to bat, England made a strong start through Dunkley and Maia Bouchier, laying the foundation for a challenging total. Although Ireland fought back with regular wickets late in the innings, England's score proved more than enough on a surface offering assistance to the bowlers.
Ireland began their chase positively, led by captain Gaby Lewis, but England's bowling attack quickly tightened its grip on the contest. Lauren Filer, Mady Villiers, and young spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman shared the wickets as Ireland were dismissed for 177, handing England a comfortable victory and a flawless series result.
The series showcased England's growing depth, with standout performances from Dunkley, Bouchier, Issy Wong, and several emerging talents. Having already sealed the series in the second ODI, England finished the campaign on a high and will carry significant momentum into their upcoming international assignments.
