Shaun Tait Steps Down as Bangladesh Fast Bowling Coach

Bangladesh Cricket has been dealt a significant coaching setback as former Australian speedster Shaun Tait has stepped down from his role as the national team's fast bowling coach due to family reasons. The decision comes ahead of Bangladesh's upcoming white-ball series against Australia and was reached amicably between Tait and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Tait, who joined Bangladesh in 2025 on a contract running until the 2027 ODI World Cup, played a crucial role in developing the country's pace attack. During his tenure, he worked closely with emerging fast bowlers, most notably Nahid Rana, who has become one of Bangladesh's most exciting pace prospects.

Following Tait's departure, former Bangladesh pacer Talha Jubair has been appointed as the pace bowling coach for the Australia series. The BCB expressed gratitude for Tait's contributions and wished him well for the future.

Tait's exit marks the end of a productive chapter for Bangladesh's fast-bowling unit, leaving the team with the challenge of maintaining the momentum and progress achieved under his guidance.
