Riyan Parag Undergoes Shoulder Surgery, Begins Road to Recovery

India and Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag has successfully undergone surgery on his right shoulder and is set to begin an intensive rehabilitation program. The procedure was performed in Mumbai under the supervision of renowned sports surgeon Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwalla after Parag managed the injury through the IPL 2026 season.

The 24-year-old, who recently captained the Rajasthan Royals to the IPL 2026 playoffs, is expected to spend the coming weeks recovering at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. While no official return date has been announced, reports suggest he could miss the initial phase of the 2026-27 domestic season as he focuses on a full recovery.

Parag shared a positive update with fans on social media, confirming that the surgery was successful and expressing confidence about returning stronger. His absence will be a significant setback for both Assam and domestic cricket, but the talented all-rounder remains focused on making a complete comeback.
