Ollie Robinson Ruled Out of Oval Test With Knee Soreness

England have suffered a major setback ahead of the second Test against New Zealand at The Oval, with fast bowler Ollie Robinson ruled out due to soreness in his right knee. The injury was detected after a training session, and subsequent scans confirmed that he would not be fit for the crucial match.

Robinson had only recently returned to the Test side after more than two years away and made an immediate impact. The 32-year-old was named Player of the Match in the opening Test at Lord’s after claiming seven wickets, including a five-wicket haul in the first innings, helping England secure a 115-run victory over New Zealand.

To cover for Robinson's absence, England have called up uncapped Sussex seamer Henry Crocombe. Robinson will remain with the squad and continue rehabilitation work with hopes of recovering in time for the third and final Test at Trent Bridge.

His injury adds to England's selection headaches, with captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson already unavailable for the Oval Test. England will now look to reshuffle their bowling attack as they aim to seal the three-match series against New Zealand.
