India Domestic Season 2026-27 Ranji Trophy To Begin From October 11
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for the 2026-27 domestic cricket season, with the prestigious Ranji Trophy set to begin on October 11. The tournament will once again follow a two-phase format, continuing the structure introduced in recent seasons.
The domestic calendar will kick off with the Duleep Trophy from August 23 to September 10 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, followed by the Irani Cup from October 1 to 5.
The Elite phase of the Ranji Trophy will run from October 11 to November 5 before pausing for white-ball competitions. The second phase resumes on January 17, while knockout matches are scheduled from February 9 to March 3, 2027.
BCCI’s packed domestic calendar will feature 1,788 matches across senior men’s, women’s, and age-group cricket, highlighting the board’s continued focus on strengthening India’s domestic structure and player development pathway.
