Abhishek Sharma Fined 25% Match Fee for IPL Code of Conduct Breach vs KKR

Abhishek Sharma has been fined 25% of his match fee and handed one demerit point for breaching the Code of Conduct during an Indian Premier League clash against Kolkata Knight Riders. 

The incident reportedly occurred during a heated moment in the match, where Sharma’s actions were deemed to be in violation of the league’s disciplinary guidelines. The IPL governing body reviewed the situation and imposed the penalty under Level 1 offence rules, which typically relate to minor on-field misconduct.

Sharma has accepted the sanction, and no further hearing will take place. While the punishment is not severe, it serves as a reminder for players to maintain discipline in high-pressure encounters.

Despite the setback, Sharma remains a key player for his side, and fans will be hoping he bounces back strongly in the upcoming matches.

A white-ball series between the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is being discussed for October. According to Cricbuzz, the three-ODI and numerous T20I series is expected to begin in Dubai in the first half of October because both teams have international commitments in the second half of the month.
