According to Cricbuzz, the three-ODI and numerous T20I series is expected to begin in Dubai in the first half of October because both teams have international commitments in the second half of the month. Afghanistan will tour Zimbabwe at the same time, while Bangladesh will host the West Indies on their home ground for a full-fledged series. In July 2024, Afghanistan was initially slated to host Bangladesh for two Test matches, three ODIs, and three T20Is. However, the BCB requested that the tour be postponed, citing workload management.
