Priyank Panchal Bids Farewell to First-Class Cricket

Veteran Indian domestic cricketer Priyank Panchal has officially announced his retirement from first-class cricket, bringing the curtains down on a remarkable career that spanned over 16 years. Representing Gujarat with distinction, Panchal established himself as one of the most consistent performers in the Indian domestic circuit.

The right-handed batter amassed a staggering 8,856 runs in first-class cricket at an impressive average of 45.18, decorated with 29 centuries and numerous match-winning performances. He was instrumental in Gujarat’s historic Ranji Trophy title win in 2016-17, where he also topped the run charts for his team.

Despite not breaking into the Indian senior team, Panchal was often in the reckoning, leading India A and serving as a dependable top-order batter. His technique, temperament, and leadership made him a pillar of strength in the domestic arena.
