PM Modi Meets IPL Teen Prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi at Patna Airport

On May 30, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old cricket sensation, and his family at Patna Airport.




The Prime Minister praised Vaibhav’s exceptional cricketing talent and conveyed his best wishes for the young athlete’s future. On social media, PM Modi shared:

“Met young cricketing sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family at Patna Airport. His cricketing skills are being lauded across India! My best wishes for his future endeavours.”

Vaibhav has taken the IPL 2025 season by storm, playing for Rajasthan Royals. In just 7 matches, he scored 252 runs with a phenomenal strike rate of 206.55.

In his debut IPL match, he hit a six off the very first ball. On April 28, 2025, he scored 101 runs against Gujarat Titans, making it the second-fastest century by an Indian in IPL history.

PM Modi’s interaction with Vaibhav reflects the encouragement being given to young sporting talents in India, symbolizing the growing enthusiasm for sports across the country.
