Champions Trophy winners will receive US$2.24 million in prizes.

In addition to the trophy they lift on March 9, the champions of the next Champions Trophy 2025 will get US$2.24 million in prize money. The losing semifinalists will receive $560,000 apiece, while the runners-up will receive $1.12 million. The overall pot is worth $6.9 million, which is 53% more than it was in 2017, the year Pakistan won the trophy at The Oval.

Eight teams compete in the Champions Trophy, which is divided into two groups of four teams each. Each group’s top two players advance to the semifinals. The winning team receives over $34,000 for each group match. The fifth and sixth-place teams will split $350,000, while the seventh and eighth-place teams will split $140,000.

“In addition, all eight teams are assured of $125,000 each for competing in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025,” a statement from the ICC stated.

“The sizeable prize fund highlights the ICC’s continued commitment to investing in the sport and upholding the international prestige of our events,” stated ICC chair Jay Shah. Beyond the monetary reward, this competition sparks intense rivalry, enthralls spectators everywhere, and is essential to the development and long-term viability of cricket for next generations.
