Dominance of Team India in the Longest Format of Cricket

India’s dominance in Test cricket is underscored by their recent achievements in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023–25 cycle. Following a commanding 295-run victory over Australia in the first Test at Perth, India has reclaimed the top spot in the WTC standings with a points percentage of 61.11. This victory not only highlights the team’s strength but also showcases individual brilliance, particularly from Jasprit Bumrah, who currently ranks as the number one Test bowler, and Ravindra Jadeja, recognized as the number one Test all-rounder.

In addition to Bumrah and Jadeja’s accolades, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s remarkable performance has placed him as the second-highest Test batter, further solidifying India’s batting depth. His contributions, alongside centuries from established players like Virat Kohli, have been pivotal in setting challenging targets for opponents.

India’s resurgence comes after a disappointing series against New Zealand, where they suffered a 0-3 defeat. The team’s ability to bounce back and dominate in Australia demonstrates their resilience and skill in the longer format of the game.
