Musheer Khan Suffered a Fracture in Road Accident

Musheer Khan, the promising 19-year-old cricketer and brother of Sarfaraz Khan, suffered a fracture in a road accident while traveling with his father from Kanpur to Lucknow. The incident occurred as they were en route to the Irani Cup match scheduled from October 1-5. Musheer’s injury is a significant setback for Mumbai, as he will also miss the initial rounds of the Ranji Trophy starting October 11.

Musheer had recently impressed with performances including a double century in the Ranji quarterfinals and a stunning 181 on his Duleep Trophy debut. His absence raises concerns about his selection for the upcoming India A tour of Australia.

The Mumbai Cricket Association has yet to comment officially on the accident, but selectors are expected to find a replacement for him in the squad.
