The Schedule for India vs England Test Series 2025

On Thursday August 22, the England Cricket Board and the BCCI announced the schedule for a five-match Test series to be held in 2025. India’s tour of England in 2025 will kick off with the first Test at Headingley in Leeds from June 20 to June 24.

The marquee Test match at the iconic Lord’s in London will be held from July 10, after the second Test match at Edgbaston in Birmingham from July 2. The Old Trafford in Manchester will host the fourth Test from July 23-27, and the final fifth Test will be staged at the Oval between July 31 to August 4.

  • 1st Test: 20–24 June - Headingley, Leeds
  • 2nd Test: 2–6 July - Edgbaston, Birmingham
  • 3rd Test: 10–14 July - Lord’s, London
  • 4th Test: 23–27 July - Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester
  • 5th Test: 31 July – 4 August - The Kia Oval, London

Last time India toured England in 2021, and were leading the series 2-1 under Virat Kohli when the fifth Test was postponed hours before its start and held almost after a year due to the outbreak of Covid-19 concerns in the Indian camp.

Mohammed Shami, with Indian soldiers, says, “I am proud to be an Indian.”

The fast bowler of Indian cricket team Mohammed Shami has been in the news in the last few weeks. For his services to cricket, he received the Arjuna Award. He didn't play in many games, but in the ICC World Cup 2023, he was the greatest bowler. Recently, he met with the defense personnel of India and saluted them for their courage and commitment. Shami uploaded pictures of his meeting on social media. He wrote, “I am proud to be an Indian. Salvate our soldiers for their honor, courage, and commitment.” Mohammed Shami hasn’t played cricket since the World Cup due to an ankle injury. He was initially named in the two-match series against South Africa but was ruled out at the last moment. The veteran pacer was also not part of the first two Test matches against England.
