After Sri Lanka Shock Rohit Sharma Ready To Pick ‘Different Players’ For ODIs

India cricket team might adopt a 'horses-for-courses' policy after failing to counter the spin-friendly conditions here which led to their first series defeat to Sri Lanka in ODI cricket in 27 years. After losing the final game by 110 runs, a determined Sri Lankan team made the most of the circumstances, using their spinners' sluggish and turning pitches to confuse the Indian batting team and won the three-match ODI series 2-0.

Rohit told the media after his team were shot out for 138 in pursuit of 249 in the third ODI here on Wednesday. I don't think our desire to attempt and play various shots is lacking in effort. It is not indicative of their batsmanship that some of these individuals play reverse sweep, paddle, and other such positions.

When you play out pitches like this, we need to be extremely clear about our game plan and how to maintain that momentum in our favor. We lost that first game that was tied, and I would say that we lost three times already. "We will try and see how we can be a good team in all kinds of conditions," the Indian captain stated. "We have to let the players know that this is what we want and if we have to be a little different in terms of choosing the personnel, we have to do that, unfortunately."
