The captain of Team India, Rohit Sharma, lavishes praise on Ashwin’s class and Siraj’s record

The captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, heaped praise on spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and pacer Mohammed Siraj ahead of the IND vs. ENG 1st Test. Sharma and Co. will lock horns with the visitors in a five-match Test series commencing on January 25.

Ahead of the 1st Test in Hyderabad, skipper Rohit Sharma appreciated Ashwin’s class, noting that the spinner was impressive whenever he took the field. The Hitman commended home town hero Siraj as well, noting that he had broken through the ranks over the last couple of years to establish himself in the Test side.

Rohit Sharma said at the pre-match press conference that “Ashwin and Siraj have been important players for us. Siraj has come through the ranks in the last two years; he has taken his game to another level. Ashwin is class; every time he takes the field, he impresses all of us.”
