Mohammed Shami, with Indian soldiers, says, “I am proud to be an Indian.”

The fast bowler of Indian cricket team Mohammed Shami has been in the news in the last few weeks. For his services to cricket, he received the Arjuna Award. He didn't play in many games, but in the ICC World Cup 2023, he was the greatest bowler.

Recently, he met with the defense personnel of India and saluted them for their courage and commitment. Shami uploaded pictures of his meeting on social media.

He wrote, “I am proud to be an Indian. Salvate our soldiers for their honor, courage, and commitment.”

Mohammed Shami hasn’t played cricket since the World Cup due to an ankle injury. He was initially named in the two-match series against South Africa but was ruled out at the last moment.

The veteran pacer was also not part of the first two Test matches against England. To qualify for the Indian squad, he has to show that he is fit by reporting to the National Cricket Academy.
